Victor Osimhen, the Nigerian star of Galatasaray, which defeated Lille 4-2 in the UEFA Champions League, made statements after the match in which he scored against his former team. While Osimhen stated that he was happy with the 3 points, he also spoke about the Fenerbahçe derby.
"I AM VERY HAPPY BECAUSE OF THE VICTORY WE WON"
Evaluating the match, Victor Osimhen wished Lille success and said, "I wasn't in the Sporting match, I was injured. As for Barça, we already knew that they play as a team and how good they are. They have one of the best coaches in the world. They have truly important names like Yamal, Rodri, Pedri. Of course, you know you will have difficulties against Barça. When we came here, beyond the surprise, we know that they are again a tough opponent. But we had to fight and do everything we could. We thought about that and built on it, and as a team we did our best and even when we fell behind, we reacted well and managed to win. I love this stadium very much. We played a tough match. I am very happy for our team and the victory we won. I also wish Lille success." he said.
"WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO THE FENERBAHÇE MATCH"
Also speaking about the derby to be played with Fenerbahçe, Osimhen said, "When we talk about the derby, of course we are talking about a game loaded with emotion. Of course, there can also be chaos. We are looking forward to it. Right now, winning all the derbies is almost like halfway to the championship... We also have to admit that it is good; we will play at home, we will have the advantage, and we want to do our best and complete this match in the best way as a team." he remarked.
