Meteorology gave a date! Scorching heat is giving way to heavy rain showers.

While scorching temperatures prevail nationwide, a refreshing news came from the General Directorate of Meteorology. Meteorology, expecting temperatures to drop to seasonal norms, warned that thunderstorms and heavy showers will be effective in many regions, including the Marmara Region.

Weather Forecaster Abdullah Macit said that they expect temperatures to drop to around seasonal norms in the inland areas starting from the weekend. It will especially be in the form of thunderstorms and showers.

SCORCHING TEMPERATURES ARE GOING AWAY

Abdullah Macit, a Weather Forecaster at the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Meteorology General Directorate, made statements regarding the weather conditions that will occur nationwide. Sharing the latest evaluation of the Meteorology General Directorate, Macit stated, "We expect local thunderstorms and showers in the inner Aegean, inner Mediterranean, and Black Sea regions on Thursday and Friday. The temperature will also remain above seasonal norms until the weekend".

RAIN WILL BE EFFECTIVE IN MARMARA REGION DURING THE WEEKEND

Macit, who stated that temperatures will decrease to seasonal norms starting from the weekend, said, "We expect temperatures to drop to around seasonal norms in the inland areas starting from the weekend. It will especially be in the form of thunderstorms and showers. We expect rain in Marmara region during the weekend and starting from Sunday. Apart from that, scattered showers continue. There are showers in the inner Mediterranean region and throughout the Black Sea region, especially during the weekend".

Macit also spoke about the temperature in Çanakkale and İzmir, where forest fires occurred, saying, "There will be no rain for the next three days, but we will see local showers in the inland areas of İzmir and Manisa. Especially after Thursday and Friday, we do not expect rain in Çanakkale. The temperature will be around 35 to 36 degrees Celsius".
