The General Directorate of Meteorology has published the latest weather forecast report. The report issued a yellow code warning for Giresun, Trabzon, Rize, and Artvin. Meanwhile, Meteorology Advisor Prof. Dr. Orhan Şen stated that the rainfall will increase its impact even more next week.



According to the latest forecasts made by the General Directorate of Meteorology, the northern, inland, and eastern parts of the country are expected to be partly cloudy with occasional very cloudy conditions, while the Western and Eastern Black Sea, Central Black Sea coasts, and the regions of Sakarya, Ardahan, and Hakkari are expected to be rainy. Other areas are predicted to be slightly cloudy and clear. Rainfall is expected to be strong in the regions of Ordu, Giresun, and Trabzon, very strong in the regions of Rize and Artvin, and strong with occasional heavy snow in the higher elevations. Winds are expected to be strong (40-60 km/h) from the north in the southwestern Marmara, northern Aegean coasts, Central and Eastern Black Sea, and northeastern Eastern Anatolia.



STRONG RAIN WARNING



According to the latest assessments; local strong rainfall (21-50 kg/m2) is expected in Giresun and Trabzon, while very strong local rainfall (51-75 kg/m2) is expected in the regions of Rize and the north and east of Artvin. It is predicted that the rainfall will be strong and occasionally heavy snow in the higher elevations above 900 meters. With the strong rainfall, caution and preparedness should be taken against disruptions in transportation, landslides, floods, water inundation, icing, and frost in higher areas.

It is expected to be partly and slightly cloudy. Winds are expected to blow strongly (40-60 km/h) from the north and northeast in the coastal areas of the region.



MEDITERRANEAN

INLAND ANATOLIA



It is expected to be partly and slightly cloudy. Fog and occasional mist are expected throughout the region in the morning and evening hours.



WESTERN BLACK SEA



It is expected to be partly very cloudy, with rain and showers throughout the region, and mixed rain and snow in the higher elevations. Fog and occasional mist are expected in the inner parts of the region in the morning and evening hours.
