Speaking at the 15th Ordinary Congress of the MHP Kayseri Provincial Directorate, MHP Deputy Chairman İsmail Özdemir said, 'God willing, in the elections to be held in 2028, the candidate of the nationalist, idealist movement will again be our esteemed President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.'
The 15th Ordinary Congress of the MHP Kayseri Provincial Directorate was held at the Kadir Has Congress Center.
MHP DEPUTY CHAIRMAN ÖZDEMİR: ALL CAPITALS ARE IN EFFORT AND PURSUIT OF WHAT ANKARA WILL DO
In his speech here, MHP Deputy Chairman and Kayseri Deputy İsmail Özdemir said that Türkiye has become a country with a say in its region and the world.
Noting that in the past, when some capitals were mentioned, people looked at them wondering, "What will Brussels do, what will London think, what decision will Washington make?", Özdemir said, "Now all these capitals are in an effort and pursuit of what Ankara will do. Thank God, we are increasing these gains day by day."
"WE CARRY THE GOAL OF MAKING TÜRKİYE A GLOBAL POWER BY TAKING IT TO A FURTHER LEVEL IN THE 21ST CENTURY"
Özdemir stated that countries come together in Türkiye to hold talks to resolve wars and conflicts happening in the world, and continued his words as follows: "In the last 30-40 years in our immediate geography, very serious wars and conflicts have occurred. In our northern region, there is still a war between Ukraine and Russia. The potential for this war to spread is increasing. Neither side listens to London nor the USA, but they can come together in Istanbul under the leadership of our President. These are reflections and gains of the political stability we brought to Türkiye with the Presidential Government System. Now, with a 'Terror-Free Türkiye', we aim to transform this gain into social peace, thus blending state stability with societal peace and tranquility, and carrying the goal of making Türkiye a global power by taking it to a further level in the 21st century."
"THERE IS A NEED FOR A NEW CONSTITUTION"
İsmail Özdemir reminded that as a party, they had previously stated that there is a need for a new constitution compatible with the 21st-century goals of the Republic of Türkiye and meeting the needs of the nation, and evaluated, "The MHP's stance regarding the first 4 articles of the constitution is like black thread and white thread. Therefore, I do not even want to enter into these discussions."

Özdemir, stating that MHP is holding its congresses in a festive atmosphere across the country and preparing for the 2028 elections, said, "General elections will be held in our country in 2028. Our Chairman expressed it, but I would like to state it once again from here; God willing, in the elections to be held in 2028, the candidate of the nationalist, idealist movement will again be our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. We will not sacrifice the great gains Türkiye has achieved to the calculations of a few ignorant people or the crooked plans of a few small countries."
In the congress held with a single list, the current Provincial Chairman Enes Ertuğrul Kalın was re-elected.
At the congress, MHP Kayseri Deputy Baki Ersoy, Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Memduh Büyükkılıç, and MHP Provincial Chairman Enes Ertuğrul Kalın also delivered speeches.
