The wet weather that intensified during the night in Erzurum appeared as rain in the city center, while it turned into snow in Palandöken. With the snow falling in thick flakes, the summit of Palandöken began to turn white. The meteorological service reported that air temperatures in the region will decrease noticeably.
After the precipitation warning issued by the 12th Regional Directorate of Meteorology in Erzurum, precipitation intensified during the night hours. While rain was seen in the city center, snowfall began in high areas as the air temperature dropped.
LARGE FLAKES OF SNOW FELL IN PALANDÖKEN
In Palandöken, one of Turkey's important winter tourism centers, rain was replaced by snowfall. The snow falling in large flakes began to cover the high areas, especially the summit of Palandöken, in white.
TEMPERATURES WILL DROP NOTICEABLY
Meteorology experts stated that Erzurum and its surroundings have come under the influence of cool and rainy weather. It was reported that air temperatures in the region are expected to decrease noticeably.
