Selçuk Yöntem recounted an unaired test shoot in which, this time, he sat in the contestant’s chair on “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire,” which he had once hosted. The actor, who criticized contestants for not trusting their instincts, said he found himself in the same situation.

Yöntem, a guest on “Very Different Conversations,” hosted by Ceyda Düvenci, stated that he had difficulty understanding why contestants gave up the answer they first thought of. When he thought he had been too hard on them, he asked the production team to let him compete as well.

In the unaired shoot, the actor reached the 250,000-lira question and chose to withdraw because he could not be sure of the answer. Although an option crossed his mind, Yöntem could not say it, and he recounted that even though there was no real cash prize, he felt the pressure of the competition.
The actor, stating that this experience helped him understand the contestants better, said, “I did the thing I criticized. I did not say what I felt. I withdrew.”
