"Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy said in a statement to the press before the funeral prayer held at Istanbul Levent Barbaros Hayrettin Pasha Mosque, 'Bidding farewell to Kadir İnanır is actually bidding farewell to the unforgettable memories of our lives and the golden era of Yeşilçam.'"
After the memorial program held at Harbiye Muhsin Ertuğrul Stage for the legendary Yeşilçam figure Kadir İnanır, who passed away at the age of 77, the funeral prayer was performed following the afternoon prayer at Levent Barbaros Hayrettin Pasha Mosque. Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, who attended the ceremony, made statements to the press there.
"WE ARE BIDDING FAREWELL ONE BY ONE TO THE UNIQUE VALUES OF YEŞİLÇAM THAT EXTENDED INTO OUR LIVES, BECAME PART OF OUR HOMES AND FAMILIES"
Ersoy stated that İnanır's legacy left to Turkish cinema will continue to inspire future generations.
Ersoy, noting that İnanır earned an exceptional place in Turkish cinema, said, "We are bidding farewell one by one to the unique values of Yeşilçam that extended into our lives, became part of our homes and families. An era is now falling behind. Along with that era, the memories, excitements, and unforgettable recollections of several generations are taking their place in our minds."

Emphasizing that Kadir İnanır touched the lives of millions with the characters he portrayed on the silver screen, Ersoy expressed that the works the master artist brought to Turkish cinema will never lose their value over the years.
Ersoy said, "Dila Hanım, Derviş Bey, Bodrum Hâkimi, Selvi Boylum Al Yazmalım, Tatar Ramazan... When his films are mentioned, unforgettable scenes come to life in all our minds. Great artists leave behind not just films, but traces that will live through generations."
"THERE WILL BE NO SECOND KADİR İNANIR"
Stating that Kadir İnanır brought to life the strongest productions of his era and delivered unforgettable performances in many works that are among the classics of Turkish cinema, Ersoy said, "There will be no second Kadir İnanır. However, new artists will grow along the path he opened, and his legacy will continue to live on."
Minister Ersoy concluded his statement by offering condolences to Kadir İnanır's family, loved ones, and the art community, saying, "May Allah have mercy on him, may his place be heaven. He will always live on through his cherished memory and works."
