Under the coordination of the Department of Investigation of Unsolved Crimes, 6 chronic murder cases from 2005-2016, taken off shelves through DNA matches, HTS analyses, and new criminal investigations, have been fully resolved. The perpetrators of past murders in Balıkesir, Denizli, Hatay, Samsun, and Istanbul were caught and arrested based on new evidence and confessions, while Minister Gürlek stated, "The memory of justice is strong; no perpetrator will escape justice by relying on the passage of time."
