MOTHER FELL ONTO THE PLATFORM WITH HER CHILD
The incident occurred on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 28, at platform number 1 of Bhairab Railway Station in the Kishoreganj district of Bangladesh. According to local media reports, a couple tried to board a commuter train heading to Dhaka as it approached the station. Witnesses stated that the couple, reportedly from a nearby village in the Katiadi area, were attempting to board the train when the woman lost her balance and fell onto the platform with her child.

As the woman tried to get up, the young child slipped from her mother's hand and fell into the narrow gap between the train and the platform. At the same moment, the train began to move. Seeing this, the father jumped onto the tracks without hesitation. He took his child in his arms and lay flat on the ground, hugging the child tightly to protect him from being crushed under the carriages.
