According to information obtained from security sources, Metin Dinç, code-named 'Dijwar Tekoşin', started operating within the PKK/KCK Patriotic Revolutionary Youth Movement (YDG-H) in 2008. Due to the presence of close relatives in the organization's executive council, Dinç quickly became one of YDG-H's Istanbul officials. Between 2008 and 2015, he was imprisoned for crimes such as 'being a member of an armed terrorist organization, making terrorist propaganda, providing weapons to armed terrorist organizations, organizing unlawful meetings and demonstrations'. In 2015, Dinç illegally crossed into Syria and joined the PKK/YPG. After receiving training there, he operated in the rural area of Bagok in Mardin between 2015 and 2017. As of 2019, the terrorist started operating in Syria/Kahtaniye at a so-called responsible level, and in 2021, he crossed into northern Iraq and continued his organizational activities there until 2023. In March 2024, he became the so-called general responsible for security in Syria through a handover ceremony held in Kamishli.
Metin Dinç, who organized actions against Turkish security forces on behalf of the organization, was included in the target list of the National Intelligence Organization (MIT). As a result of the intelligence work of MIT's field agents, Dinç's presence in Kamishli was determined. The terrorist Dinç, who was monitored step by step with real-time intelligence, was neutralized in a targeted operation in Kamishli center when the appropriate conditions were met.
