A person who wanted to attack his relative sitting at the retired police association in Gaziantep with a shotgun could not escape the attention of the retired police officer. At the last moment, the retired police officer intervened and jumped on the attacker, preventing the attack just in time. The attacker was captured by the retired police officers at the association.

The incident occurred at the Turkey Police Retirees Social Assistance Association in the Değirmiçem neighborhood of Şehitkamil district. According to allegations, a person who is claimed to be a drug addict wanted to carry out an armed attack with a shotgun on his relative at the association who responded negatively to his request for borrowed money. The retired police officer who noticed the incident jumped on the attacker. At that moment, another retired police officer at the association, noticing the incident, jumped on the armed attacker and prevented the assault. During the chaos, the shots fired from the shotgun hit a table in the association. The attacker was captured by the retired police officers at the association. After the incident, which resulted in no injuries, police teams that arrived at the scene handcuffed the attacker and took him into custody, while the shotgun was secured. An investigation has been initiated regarding the incident.
