It is claimed that the Greek Cypriot Administration will place personnel from the Israeli intelligence service at the airports of Paphos and Larnaca for security purposes, while the Greek Cypriot press reported that the Greek side responded positively to the Israeli secret service's request to have armed personnel, including at the Larnaca Airport tower.

The Republic of Cyprus (RoC) is reported to have allowed the Israeli intelligence service to place personnel at the airports of Paphos and Larnaca for security purposes.

MOSSAD AND SHIN BET CONDUCTED INSPECTIONS

According to news reports in the Greek Cypriot press, teams consisting of personnel from the Israeli secret service MOSSAD and the internal security organization Shin Bet conducted inspections at Larnaca Airport and its surroundings, as well as the coastal areas of the region. The reports stated that the Greek Cypriot police accompanied the Israeli intelligence during the inspections, which were carried out using binocular cameras and special equipment.

POSITIVE RESPONSE FROM THE GREEK CYPRIOT SIDE

Some websites indicated that the Greek Cypriots responded positively to the Israeli secret service's request to have armed personnel, including at the Larnaca Airport tower. Israeli intelligence requested the deployment of armed personnel, including a control tower, at Paphos Airport in the same manner, after inspecting it 10 days ago.

ALL FLIGHTS WERE DIRECTED TO LARNACA

After Shin Bet requested the suspension of commercial flights to the town of Paphos in the RoC, citing security concerns, all flights from Israel to the Republic of Cyprus were redirected to Larnaca Airport.
