Fenerbahçe is preparing to apply to the Turkish Football Federation to postpone the Konyaspor match, which falls between two critical UEFA Champions League play-off round matches against Lyon. It has been claimed that Konyaspor is also favorable to the yellow-navy club's request.
Fenerbahce is preparing to make a new postponement application to the TFF due to its busy match schedule. The yellow-navy team will request that the Konyaspor match, planned to be played on Saturday, August 22, be moved to a later date.
IT FALLS BETWEEN THE LYON MATCHES
Fenerbahce faces a very busy fixture in a short period of time. The yellow-navy team will play an away game against Genclerbirligi on August 15. Ismail Kartal's team will host Lyon in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League play-off round on Tuesday, August 18.
Only four days after hosting Konyaspor on August 22, Fenerbahce will play the return match against Lyon away on Wednesday, August 26. The yellow-navy team's busy fixture will continue with the away game against Samsunspor on August 30.

Fenerbahce Football Director Oguz Cetin had previously announced that they applied to the TFF for the postponement of the Genclerbirligi match, but received a negative response from the federation. This time, the yellow-navy team is preparing to make the same request for the Konyaspor match, which falls between the two critical matches against Lyon.

Konyaspor's stance has also become clear ahead of Fenerbahce's application.
