CHP Group Leader Özgür Özel said they proposed Murat Karayalçın for the chairmanship of the call committee regarding the party's extraordinary congress process. Özel stated, 'We request from the court that Mr. Murat Karayalçın safely lead the party to the congress. If accepted, within 40 days, the call committee chaired by Mr. Karayalçın will take our party to the congress.'
CHP Group Chairman Özgür Özel paid various visits in Bilecik.
Özel, who met with party members at the CHP Bilecik Provincial Headquarters, stated in a press conference later that as CHP, they particularly value the autonomy of youth and women's branches.

After the statement, which was also attended by Bilecik Mayor Melek Mızrak Subaşı and Bozüyük Mayor Mehmet Talat Bakkalcıoğlu, Özel visited the grave of former CHP Bursa Deputy Lale Karabıyık, who passed away last year, at the Bilecik Municipality City Cemetery.
