It has emerged that the attacker who shot and killed 6 people with a pump-action shotgun in two different villages in the İhsaniye district of Afyonkarahisar also killed 2 more people in another village along his escape route. After the incident, in which the death toll rose to 8 and one person was seriously injured, a large-scale operation launched by police and gendarmerie teams to capture the fugitive continues, while the attacker, whose identity has been determined, was caught on security cameras.
The suspect, who shot and killed 5 people inside a vehicle with a shotgun in two different villages in the İhsaniye district of Afyonkarahisar, was determined to have also shot and killed 2 more people with a shotgun at another point along his escape route.
5 BODIES FOUND IN TWO DIFFERENT CARS
The bodies of a total of 5 people were found in two different cars in the rural neighborhoods of Ayazini and Kıyır in the district. It was determined that the individuals were shot dead with a shotgun.
KILLED 2 MORE PEOPLE
In the initial findings and field investigations, it emerged that the person determined to be the perpetrator of the incident, after leaving the area, went to another location in a red vehicle and shot dead 2 people there with a rifle, and wounded 1 person.
Upon the determination that the armed suspect, who left the scene in a red light commercial vehicle and was found to have come from outside the city, fled toward Kütahya, an alert was issued, including in neighboring provinces.
IDENTIFICATION EFFORTS CONTINUE
While gendarmerie teams completely closed the entrances and exits of the neighborhoods where the murders were committed, a large-scale operation by police and gendarmerie teams to catch the fugitive continues. It was reported that identification efforts for those who lost their lives are also ongoing.
