Nadal Defeats Shapovalov To Reach Australian Open Semifinals

Rafael Nadal on Tuesday sealed his place in the Australian Open semifinals with a win over Canada's Denis Shapovalov.

The sixth seed secured the victory with sets of 6-3, 6-4, 4-6, 3-6, 6-3 at Melbourne Park.

"For me it's just a present of life that I am here playing tennis again," the Spanish tennis player said following his victory.

The 35-year-old has won 20 Grand Slams over the course of a glittering career, including 13 French Open titles, as well as a gold medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Madison Keys moves to semifinals for 2nd time

American Madison Keys reached the Australian Open semifinals after beating Czech Barbora Krejcikova on Tuesday.

Keys beat her opponent with sets of 6-3 and 6-2.

She will compete at Australian Open semifinals for the second time in her career. -
