Galatasaray has started negotiations with Napoli to acquire Victor Osimhen's transfer rights. However, the Italian club rejected Galatasaray's historic offer of 65 million euros. Napoli has indicated that paying Osimhen's release clause is the only way forward. According to the Italian press, Napoli is not considering any discount, even by 1 euro, for Osimhen.
The Super Lig giant Galatasaray has sat down with Napoli to negotiate the transfer of Victor Osimhen.
HISTORIC OFFER OF 65 MILLION EUROS REJECTED
According to reports in Corriere dello Sport and La Repubblica, Galatasaray made a historic offer of 65 million euros to Napoli for Victor Osimhen. However, Napoli rejected this offer and stated that paying the release clause in Osimhen's contract is the only way for the transfer to happen.
NOT EVEN A EURO DISCOUNT
The details of the news indicate that Osimhen's previous contract had a release clause of 120 million euros, and a discount was made on this amount to extend the contract. It was noted that the Italian giant is not considering any further discounts under any circumstances.
It was reported that the figure of 75 million euros is only for Galatasaray, and since the yellow-reds paid a rental fee of 6 million euros, the currently valid amount of 81 million euros applies to other clubs. In June, it was stated that Osimhen's release clause would be 75 million euros for all clubs.
THEY ARE NOT IN A HURRY TO SELL
It was noted that Napoli President Aurelio de Laurentiis is a tough negotiator for Osimhen and will not offer any discounts. He is closely monitoring Osimhen's performance and has decided to wait until the summer. It was also expressed that Kvaratskhelia's sale for 70 million euros has eased the club's finances, and therefore they are not in a hurry to sell Osimhen.
