Turkey continues to discuss the murder of Narin Güran, who went missing in the rural Tavşantepe neighborhood of the Bağlar district in Diyarbakır on August 21 and was found 19 days later in a stream bed, in a sack, covered with stones and bushes. CONFESSION ON LIVE BROADCASTİbrahim Bahtiyar, the son of Nevzat Bahtiyar, who is a confessing witness in the case, made confessions during the program "What’s Happening in Life." İbrahim Bahtiyar stated that his father, Nevzat Bahtiyar, who is accused by the Güran family of killing Narin, definitely did not kill the little girl. İbrahim Bahtiyar said, "Before my father explained that this incident was a matter of honor, no one even mentioned his name. No one was blaming my father." When asked whether there was a feud between Nevzat Bahtiyar and the Güran family, and how their relationship was before this horrific incident, he replied, "We were like brothers." "THEY MADE THAT OFFER TO MY FATHER"It was claimed that Nevzat Bahtiyar was offered to take the blame for Narin's murder while in prison by the Güran family. İbrahim Bahtiyar stated that this offer was made and that they even promised money and land if he accepted the crime. İbrahim Bahtiyar was also asked if they received threats from the Güran family. He expressed that they are not being threatened at the moment, but he had previously received a threatening message from Narin's brother, Baran Güran. THE SHEPHERD BEATEN BY THE GÜRAN FAMILY SPOKEAhmet Akgün, a 32-year-old shepherd who was seen being questioned and pushed during a meeting held by the Güran family, also appeared on the same program. Akgün, who is learned to be a cousin of Nevzat Bahtiyar, who confessed to carrying Narin's body, shared the following about the events of that day: "Erhan Güran's brother came to me and said that his brother had called me to his house. I went to their house since we live close by. When I arrived, other family members were also sitting at the door. Erhan Güran asked me, 'Did you see anything, or did you not see anything? You roam around the village a lot.' He asked such a thing because I am a shepherd and I am always outside with the animals, and he said, 'You must have seen something.' I told him that I did not see anything. They got angry and beat me, even though I had done nothing. Then they apologized."
