In the İznik district of Bursa, a person who had been causing discomfort in the vegetable and fruit market for a long time and was found to be mentally unstable was removed from the area by police and municipal police teams. Approximately 500,000 Turkish lira in cash found on the person was documented and handed over to his sibling.

Upon reports that M.Ö., who had been staying at the vegetable and fruit market across from the İznik State Hospital in Bursa for a long time and disturbing local shopkeepers, police and municipal police teams took action.

During the investigation, it was determined that M.Ö. was staying in an empty shop with broken windows and was mentally unstable. In a check by the teams, nearly 500 thousand lira in cash was found on M.Ö. and among his belongings. The municipal police teams counted the money, which was collected by gathering cardboard and plastic from the area, one by one and recorded it.

HE BAGGED THE MONEY ONE BY ONE AND PUT GARLIC INSIDE

It was discovered that M.Ö. had bagged the money one by one and placed garlic inside to prevent it from wearing out and to keep mice away. After the procedures, the money was handed over to his brother living in the Gürmüzlü neighborhood of İznik district.
