It has been learned that the mother of the school attacker in Kahramanmaraş, a detained teacher working in the public sector, applied for retirement after the attack, while it was revealed that the father, a police chief, had all his personal rights revoked. Meanwhile, the research commission established in Parliament regarding the school attack is expected to come to Kahramanmaraş this week and conduct investigations.
The investigation commission established within the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) following the attack at Ayser Çalık Secondary School in Kahramanmaraş, which resulted in the deaths of 9 students and 1 teacher, as well as the assailant, continues its preparations.
NEW DETAILS EMERGE
While the commission within the parliament continues its work, new details regarding the perpetrator's family have also emerged in the ongoing investigation into the incident.
The legal process continues against the mother, Pınar Peyman Mersinli, and father, Uğur Mersinli, of the assailant İsa Aras Mersinli, who was arrested and sent to prison in the early stages of the investigation.
MOTHER HIT IN RETIREMENT CLAIM
It has been learned that the mother, Pınar Peyman Mersinli, who is a public school teacher and was arrested during this process, has not suffered any loss of personal rights and has applied for retirement at her own request.
FATHER'S PERSONAL RIGHTS REVOKED
Additionally, it has emerged that all personal rights of the assailant's father, Uğur Mersinli, a 1st Class Police Chief who was arrested, have been terminated.
COMMISSION TO VISIT KAHRAMANMARAŞ
Meanwhile, it has been learned that AK Party Kahramanmaraş Deputy İrfan Karatutlu, who will be responsible for the Kahramanmaraş leg of the parliamentary commission, along with a delegation of deputies, will visit Kahramanmaraş this week to conduct inspections. The delegation is expected to examine the area around the school where the incident occurred, meet with representatives of relevant institutions, and gather information about the process during their engagements in the city. The aim is to inform the public through the report prepared as a result of the commission's work and to contribute to security policies in educational institutions.
