US President Donald Trump, who is in Ankara for the NATO Summit of Heads of State and Government, made striking statements regarding Turkey's return to the F-35 program. Following the positive signals given yesterday at the Presidential Complex, Trump today used clearer expressions, emphasizing that the F-35 crisis would be resolved in Turkey's favor.
"THEY WILL GET THE F-35s"
Trump stated, "I love President Erdoğan, I love Bibi (Netanyahu). He said very bad things about Turkey, I spoke with Erdoğan, they didn't go to war thanks to me. They have our best equipment, they will get the F-35s. If it weren't for me, they might have gone in, and maybe from the other side (Iran)."
TRUMP GAVE GREEN LIGHT YESTERDAY
US President Donald Trump, who paid an official visit to Turkey before the NATO Ankara Summit, appeared before the cameras with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan prior to the bilateral summit held yesterday at Beştepe. Answering journalists' questions, Trump said, "Erdoğan and I have had great chemistry from the very beginning.
