An investigation has been launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding allegations of illegal gambling promotion, involving some well-known names and social media influencers among the suspects.

Among these names were well-known figures such as Mehmet Ali Erbil, Serdar Ortaç, İbrahim Yılmaz, and Batuhan Karadeniz. After their procedures at the police station, a judicial control decision of "house arrest" was issued for suspects Serdar Ortaç and Mehmet Ali Erbil, who were referred to the courthouse.

Nihat Doğan made a statement regarding the bombshell issue that hit the agenda. Speaking on the Pembe Masa program aired on Ekotürk, Doğan said about Mehmet Ali Erbil and Serdar Ortaç, "One of the biggest problems in the world is illegal gambling. Artists need to be careful with every step they take. Do you think these offers didn't come to us? Are we stupid? Mehmet Ali is cunning; he is not like Serdar Ortaç! I have known Mali for 40 years, and I know he plays gambling. Even while I was reciting the azan in his son's ear, he was gambling," he stated.
