The initial installation of the National Vehicle Identification System (UTTS) was carried out in Turkey. The system aims to enhance transparency in the sector and combat the informal economy by digitally recording fuel sales.

The first installation of the National Vehicle Identification System (UTTS), which aims to prevent tax loss in fuel, has been completed.

According to a statement from Turpak, the General Directorate of the Mint and Stamp Printing House of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance has authorized 78 companies to install systems on vehicles at 1,000 locations across the country.

In this context, the first UTTS installation in Turkey was carried out by Turpak.

The Vehicle Identification Unit (TTB), which is installed next to the fuel tank of vehicles, becomes unusable when removed thanks to its special technology.

With the system planned to be applied to 8 million commercial vehicles across Turkey, it aims to increase transparency in the sector and combat the informal economy by digitally recording fuel sales.

Thanks to the TTB and other equipment, license plate information will be automatically transmitted to the pump cash registers, preventing manual entries.

Commercial vehicle owners who can show fuel purchases as expenses must complete the TTB installation by December 31.
