The grieving father Nizamettin Kabaiş, who appeared on Haberler.com regarding the suspicious death of Rojin Kabaiş, whose lifeless body was found 18 days after she went missing in Van, pointed to her roommate. The grieving father said, 'Rojin's roommate betrayed us. She was the last one to talk to Rojin. She changed her statement four times. That girl knows everything but can't speak out of fear.'
Nizamettin Kabaiş, the father of Rojin Kabaiş (21), whose lifeless body was found 18 days after she went missing while a student at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University (YYÜ), made striking claims regarding the investigation process.
Speaking as a guest on Haberler.com studio with News Director Olgun Kızıltepe and presenter Melis Yaşar, the grieving father Nizamettin Kabaiş pointed to Rojin's roommate in the investigation, saying, "She betrayed us."
"ROOMMATE CHANGED STATEMENT FOUR TIMES"
Nizamettin Kabaiş, who repeatedly stated he believes his daughter did not commit suicide, claimed the roommate might also be involved in Rojin's death. Kabaiş said, "Rojin's roommate betrayed us. Four of them were staying in the room, two others had not arrived yet. She was the last one to talk to Rojin. She changed her statement four times. That girl knows something but is too scared to tell."
"ROJIN WENT TO THE SAME AREA WITH FRIENDS THE DAY BEFORE"
Kabaiş stated that the roommate claimed Rojin left saying "I'm going to collect pebbles," but noted there were no pebbles there and that collecting pebbles at night was irrational.
Kabaiş said, "On the 27th, Rojin goes missing. That roommate and two other female friends take Rojin there on the 26th, they wander around the same area. They record videos. The next day Rojin goes there and this incident happens. This is highly suspicious."
"ROOMMATE DID NOT INFORM ANYONE THAT ROJIN WAS MISSING"
Father Kabaiş noted that the roommate spoke with Rojin on the phone, saying, "Yes, you spoke. In her statement, she says: 'I went with my friend, had tea, wandered around.' They came back at 10:30 PM. But she didn't say, 'My roommate is missing. Rojin hasn't come. Let me report it.' The next morning, she had breakfast and went around noon. Then 3-4 students found Rojin's belongings and brought them to the dorm. There are many serious issues. I'm just telling you what they said, whether true or false."
"SECURITY CHIEF MISLED US CONSISTENTLY"
Kabaiş also expressed suspicion of the security chief's actions, stating, "The security chief was constantly giving misleading directions. Things like 'Rojin sat here, went down this way, there are big rocks by the lakeshore.' He consistently misdirected us, so I reported him as well."
"HEADSCARF FOUND AFTER BLUE TRACTOR"
Drawing attention to other suspicious points, Nizamettin Kabaiş said, "The university had a blue tractor. The blue tractor went there. Two people were on it. One of them got off. The next day around noon, a headscarf was found at the spot where the tractor got stuck in the mud. This is also highly suspicious. Could those people have taken it there and left it? Where did that tractor go, what was its business there? It naturally makes one think of a cover-up."
