In the İlkadım district of SAMSUN, the prosecutor's objection seeking the arrest of E.G. (29) and her two sisters, who were released under judicial control after allegedly beating M.M. (36) in the middle of the street for allegedly having an affair with her husband, was rejected.
The incident occurred on October 7 at around 19.30 on 56'lar Street in Bahçelievler Neighborhood. According to the allegation, the woman named E.G., together with her sisters E.A. (27) and E.A. (23), kicked and punched M.M., whom she alleged was having an affair with her husband, on the street. Bystanders intervened in the fight. Police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification. The injured M.M. was taken to Gazi State Hospital and received treatment after the intervention of medical teams. It was reported that M.M.'s nose was broken and that he had injuries on his arm and head. It was learned that M.M. had previously obtained a restraining order against E.G. The incident was captured by a KGYS camera.
THEY KNOCKED HIM TO THE GROUND AND KICKED AND PUNCHED HIM
M.M., a mother of one child who was divorced from her spouse, gave a statement after treatment and said, “My friend and I left the shopping mall with my 5-year-old daughter M.M. and went to 56'lar Street. We sat at a café and left after a while. A vehicle belonging to V.G. slowed down beside me. As I was about to put my daughter into my own vehicle, a woman pulled me to the ground. Three women laid me on the ground and kicked and punched my head. One of those who hit me was E.A., and the other was the woman named E.G. I was kicked and punched. I saw E.A. pull out a knife. My friend was protecting my daughter at that time. Then a municipality bus stopped, and those who got off pushed the women away,” she said.
SUSPECTS DID NOT ACCEPT THE ACCUSATIONS
Police, who launched an investigation into the incident, detained all three suspects they identified. In her statement, E.G. said, “I know M.M. because she had an approximately 8-month relationship with my husband while I was married. E.A. and E.A. are my sisters. Today, before the incident, we went to pick up my husband from the police station. Afterwards, we went to 56'lar Street. My sisters said, ‘We will drink coffee, you go home.’ Since my husband had parked his car, he went to get it. Meanwhile, I heard sounds of a fight. When I looked out of curiosity, I saw M.M., with whom I have a feud, and my sisters. I did not see her hit any of my sisters,” she said. E.A. said, “I did not hit anyone or insult anyone. I also have no noticeable injury. When I heard the sound of the fight, my older sister E.G. came to us. She tried to separate us. My brother-in-law was waiting for us. We got into the car there and left. I do not accept the accusations against me.” The other suspect, E.A., also said, “I did not hit anyone. I only defended myself. I do not accept the accusations against me. My older sister E.G. did not have a knife in her hand.”
THE PROSECUTOR'S OBJECTION WAS ALSO REJECTED
The three suspects were referred to the courthouse after their procedures at the police station. The suspects, who gave statements to the prosecutor, were released under judicial control by the court to which they were referred with a request for arrest. The Samsun Chief Public Prosecutor's Office objected to the Samsun 2nd Criminal Judgeship of Peace. In the objection, it was stated, “On behalf of the public, it is requested by way of objection that the relevant decision be lifted and that an arrest warrant be issued for the suspects, since there are facts indicating the existence of strong suspicion that the suspects committed the alleged crime and grounds for arrest exist.” The judgeship rejected the prosecutor's objection.
