MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli's call, referring to Ahmet Türk and Ahmet Özer as 'Ahmet's to the office', once again went unanswered. Within the scope of the appointment made by the Ministry of Interior, the trustee term carried out within the Mardin Metropolitan Municipality has been extended for another two months.
Ahmet Türk, who was dismissed from his position as Metropolitan Mayor on November 4, 2024, within the scope of counter-terrorism investigations and prosecutions in Mardin, was replaced by Mardin Governor Tuncay Akkoyun as a trustee appointed by ministerial decision.

The appointment period, renewed every two months, was reassessed and extended until July 4, 2026. Accordingly, the trustee administration at Mardin Metropolitan Municipality will continue in its current role.
It was learned that the appointment process is being carried out within the framework of relevant legal provisions.

However, with the recent decision, the term of trustee Akkoyun has been extended by two more months.
