Five-year-old Hamza Özsoy, who lost his life in the dog attack that occurred yesterday afternoon in the Kazım Paşa neighborhood of Saray district, was laid to rest amid tears, while his cousin A.Ö. continues treatment at the hospital.
MINISTER ÇİFTÇİ: INSPECTOR APPOINTED Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi stated in a post on social media, "The loss of our 5-year-old child Hamza Özsoy in the Saray district of Van province as a result of a stray dog attack has deeply saddened us. I pray for a speedy recovery for our child Ayaz Özsoy, who is still receiving treatment, and hope he regains his health as soon as possible. This tragic incident has once again demonstrated how essential it is to implement existing legal regulations regarding stray animals without compromise and with precision for public order and the safety of our citizens. Necessary judicial and administrative processes will be conducted meticulously against any person or persons found negligent or at fault. In this context, an Inspector has been appointed by our Ministry of Interior. We will closely monitor the investigation process. I extend my condolences to the family of our deceased child Hamza Özsoy and wish patience and strength to his grieving family. We are determined to review all measures to prevent such sorrows from recurring."
