California-based chip manufacturer Nvidia has become the world's most valuable company, surpassing Apple in market value.
Nvidia's shares, traded on the Nasdaq stock exchange, gained 2.84% on Tuesday, rising to $139.91 per share.
The company's total market value reached $3.43 trillion with the increase in its shares.
Thus, Nvidia, which surpassed Apple's market value of $3.38 trillion, has claimed the title of the world's most valuable company for the second time.
With the increasing demand for artificial intelligence chips, Nvidia's shares have risen by 182.5% since the beginning of the year.
Nvidia's market value first exceeded $3 trillion in early June.
