The statements reportedly made by Abdullah Öcalan during the meetings held on İmralı Island in early February have emerged. According to this, Öcalan said, 'Look, I am the one taking steps, I am the one contributing. But they say, "It won't work with Öcalan." As if I am the obstacle. In that case, either they should kill me or I should kill myself. Then find someone else, let them solve it. They mention Selahattin. What can Selahattin do?'
While developments regarding the "Terror-Free Turkey" process, which started with the initiative of MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, continue, the statements conveyed by Ruşen Çakır from Medyascope regarding Abdullah Öcalan drew attention.
"BAHÇELI IS NOT BELIEVABLE"
It was claimed that PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan made evaluations about the process and the parties in his statements based on "reliable sources." It was conveyed that Öcalan used the expressions "Bahçeli recently said bravely, 'I will go.' It is not believable. My biggest rival is saying this" regarding the process initiated by Bahçeli, while it was stated that he opposed the "status" debates kept on the agenda by the DEM Party with the words "I cannot live with this status spiritually."
"WHAT CAN SELAHATTIN DO?"
It was reported that Öcalan also showed a harsh reaction to the debates conducted through Selahattin Demirtaş, saying, "Hey, I am the one taking steps, I am the one contributing. But they say, 'It cannot happen with Öcalan.' As if I am the obstacle. In this case, either they should kill me or I should kill myself. Then find someone else, let them solve it. They say Selahattin [Demirtaş]. What can Selahattin do? I am not pessimistic. But I may not be able to give a hundred percent guarantee."
HE REACTED TO THE "BABY KILLER" EXPRESSION
It was recorded that Öcalan, who is claimed to have given messages regarding the continuation of the process, stated that he continues the process that started with Devlet Bahçeli's call, but suitable conditions must be provided for this. It was conveyed that Öcalan, who is stated to have pointed out the importance of mutual steps, expressed that the organization has taken steps towards a ceasefire and distancing, and in return, the state must also take the necessary steps.
It was stated that Öcalan also reacted to the "baby killer" expression used against him. It was claimed that he rejected this description and expressed that he has carried the burden of the conflictual process that has been ongoing for many years.
