Oğuzhan Koç has gone to court with his landlord after the value of the house he has been renting for 85,000 TL since 2019 was raised to 350,000 TL. Speaking after the rent determination case opened last week, Koç stated, "This is the problem of all tenants in the country. Ridiculous increases. I am also a victim. They are right, and we are right. We are already tenants in life."

Singer and actor Oğuzhan Koç has become embroiled in a legal dispute with his landlord after the rent for his apartment in Beşiktaş, where he has lived since 2019, was proposed to be increased fourfold. According to the information obtained, the landlord demanded 350,000 lira from Koç, who currently pays a monthly rent of 85,000 lira. As the parties could not reach an agreement, the landlord filed a rent determination lawsuit at the Istanbul Civil Court of Peace last week. The hearing is expected to take place in the coming days.

"WE ARE ALREADY TENANTS IN LIFE"

After the lawsuit process, Koç was spotted leaving a venue the other night and spoke for the first time about the rent crisis he is experiencing. Connecting the situation to the general rental issue in Turkey, the artist stated, "This is the problem of all tenants in the country. Absurd increases. I also feel like a victim in this matter. It’s a situation that everyone faces. They are right, and we are right. We are already tenants in life."
