Galatasaray head coach Okan Buruk made statements after the Fenerbahçe derby. The successful coach, expressing his discomfort with the joy shown after the match, said, "Nothing is over yet. We haven't become champions yet. We will go to Samsun. I think we haven't won the championship. The celebration here felt like a championship, and that bothered me. There are still three matches left. Hopefully, we will become champions as soon as possible."

Galatasaray Head Coach Okan Buruk made statements after the 3-0 win in the Fenerbahçe derby in the 31st week of the Süper Lig.

"WHEN FOCUSING ON A SINGLE MATCH..."

Evaluating the match, Okan Buruk said, "This is something in our nature, I always say it. This season in the Champions League, in home matches... When we focus on a single match, something very different happens for us. It is very difficult to manage the league together with the Champions League. This week, when focusing on a single match... Of course there was the cup match, but I had changed the entire starting eleven. That's why we always played on the front foot. After going 1-0, we wanted to play on the front foot at the start of the second half. We made this mistake in the first half at Kadıköy. Being short-handed also creates a sense of protection, but from the start to the end of the match, we wanted it very much. God rewarded it."

"IT BOTHERED ME"

Stating that the post-match celebrations bothered him, Okan Buruk said, "Nothing is over. We haven't become champions yet. We will go to Samsun. I think we are not champions yet. The celebration here was as if we had won the championship, and that bothered me. There are 3 more matches. Hopefully, we will become champions as soon as possible."

"WE ESTABLISHED A HUGE DOMINANCE"

Continuing his words, the successful coach evaluated, "My first expectation was 3 midfielders. I expected 3 midfielders from Fenerbahçe. They played with a 4-2-3-1 system where Talisca acted as a second striker. Our build-up play was very easy. We had comfortable possession of the ball. We knew the transition game. They tried long balls in every position. In the penalty position, they broke the counter-press and we conceded a through ball. Apart from that, we always showed our pressure. We know our opponent very well. Both mentally and physically, we established a huge dominance."
