Omar Fayed, who was sent on loan for the third time since joining Fenerbahçe in 2023, has failed to establish himself at Portuguese club Arouca and is returning to the yellow-navy team.
The young center-back Omar Fayed, whom Fenerbahçe transferred from Egypt's Mokawloon in 2023, failed to show the desired performance at the Portuguese side Arouca.
AROUCA DOES NOT CONTINUE WITH FAYED
The 22-year-old Egyptian defender, who spent the past season on loan at Arouca, appeared in 10 official matches and stayed on the field for a total of 733 minutes, falling short of expectations. While the first half of the season was spent adapting, his chances to play diminished further in the second half following the transfer of Javi Sanchez. According to Record; Arouca will not exercise the purchase option for the young player, and Omar Fayed will return to Fenerbahçe.
RETURNING FOR THE THIRD TIME
Fayed, who has a contract with Fenerbahçe until June 30, 2027, was previously loaned to Serbia's Novi Pazar and Belgium's Beerschot after failing to establish himself with the yellow-navy blues. Thus, Fayed has been unable to secure a permanent spot at the third club he was loaned to in his career.
