Gülşen Yazgül, the teacher of the children murdered by Selçuk T. in 2004, recounted the events that took place 21 years ago after the attack on CHP Chairman Özgür Özel. The leader of the CHP, Özür Özel, was attacked by Selçuk Tengioğlu (66), who killed the teacher of his children, Gülşen Yazgül. She stated, "He had received a life sentence but was released. Who let this creature out? His wife escaped not from poverty, but from torture. May those children rest in peace."
The brutal murders committed by Selçuk Tengioğlu, who attacked CHP leader Özgür Özel with punches during the funeral of Sırrı Süreyya Önder, have come back to the agenda, as he committed these crimes in 2004.
THE TEACHER OF THE MURDERED CHILDREN SPOKE
Selçuk Tengioğlu, who killed his daughter M.T. (15) and son B.T. (17) in the Çay neighborhood of İskenderun, Hatay, and severely injured his daughter G.T. (11), has a past that has caused great outrage in the public. Before the murders, Gülşen Yazgül, who was the assistant principal at their school at the time, shared the struggles the children faced on her social media account.
THE CHILDREN REPORTED TORTURE
Yazgül, who stated that she worked at Şemsettin Mursaloğlu High School, said, "One day, the older girl came to my room and wanted to talk. The wig on her head caught my attention. I closed the door and asked. She took off her wig, and her hair was shaved to the skin. Then she called her brother, and he had no hair either. They talked about the tortures from their father, the suffering he inflicted on their bodies, and sexual abuse."
"RELEASED TWO DAYS LATER"
Yazgül noted that she reported the situation to the school principal and the police, saying, "Four police officers came, and we called the father. When he came to the school, he was like a complete sociopath, trying to attack our principal. The police barely stopped him. However, he was released two days later. That same night, he killed his older and younger son and severely injured his daughter. Our older girl jumped from the balcony to escape, and her waist was broken."
"WHO LET THIS CREATURE OUT?"
Yazgül emphasized that they experienced a great trauma after the events and expressed that her trust in justice was shaken, stating, "He had received a life sentence but was released. Who let this creature out? At that time, my principal and I lived in fear for a long time. His wife escaped not from poverty, but from torture. May those children rest in peace."
