In an operation coordinated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office targeting the Beylikdüzü Municipality and İmamoğlu Construction, 27 people were detained. Expert reports revealed that despite violations of zoning regulations and permit projects in 4 different parcels, occupancy permits were issued for the structures. It has been learned that the investigation continues following the operation carried out in 4 provinces centered in Istanbul.
An operation was carried out against Beylikdüzü Municipality and İmamoğlu Construction within the scope of the investigation conducted under the coordination of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. 27 suspects were detained in the operation carried out in 4 provinces centered in Istanbul.
ZONING VIOLATIONS DETECTED
In the expert reports prepared by the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, it was stated that amendments contrary to zoning regulations were made on 4 different plots and parcels, where the same company undertook the construction contracting, and there were violations of the permit projects.
The report stated that despite the aforementioned violations, the relevant municipality issued Building Use Permits (occupancy permits) for the structures.
27 SUSPECTS DETAINED
Following the findings, teams from the Istanbul Police Department Financial Crimes Branch, under the coordination of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, carried out simultaneous operations in 4 provinces centered in Istanbul.
Within the scope of the operation, 27 suspects, reported to be employees of Beylikdüzü Municipality and İmamoğlu Construction company, were detained.
INVESTIGATION CONTINUES
Authorities stated that the investigation and inquiry procedures initiated within the scope of the operation are ongoing.
