In Kırşehir, 12 suspects were detained in an operation targeting two WhatsApp groups where security checkpoints were shared by gendarmerie teams.
Within the scope of intelligence efforts conducted by the Provincial Gendarmerie Command, two WhatsApp groups were identified where security checkpoints established in Kırşehir center and districts were shared, considered capable of compromising safety measures taken across the city.
TECHNICAL WORK LASTED 2 MONTHS
After approximately 2 months of technical work, in the operation conducted, a total of 12 suspects were detained, including İ.K., R.A., M.A., Y.D., and A.Y., identified as group administrators, as well as A.D., O.A., A.A., S.T., E.A., A.A., and M.T., who were found to have shared duty locations, location information, and activity photos of gendarmerie and police teams in the groups.
ACCESS BLOCKED TO 2 WHATSAPP GROUPS
While judicial proceedings were initiated against the suspects under the coordination of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, access was blocked to two WhatsApp groups with a total of 1,276 active users. It was reported that efforts regarding other users in the group are ongoing.
