In an operation against the terrorist organization DAESH in Adana, 16 DAESH members of Syrian and Iraqi nationality, considered to be the organization's "sleeper cell", were captured. The suspects were referred to the courthouse. Teams from the Adana Police Department Counter-Terrorism Branch conducted an operation on May 20 against the DAESH terrorist organization. In the operation, which was also supported by special operations teams, simultaneous raids were carried out at determined addresses.
SUSPECTS REFERRED TO COURTHOUSE
During the efforts, 16 Syrian and Iraqi suspects, alleged to be members of the DAESH terrorist organization who participated in conflicts in Syria and Iraq in past years, were detained. It was learned that the suspects were considered to be operating as a "sleeper cell" of the organization.
After their procedures, the suspects were referred to the courthouse.
