Youth and Sports Minister Osman Aşkın Bak, regarding the reemergence of the armed attack on the Fenerbahçe team bus 11 years ago in Trabzon, said, "Let nothing remain hidden in our country, let it be disclosed and investigated."
Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak attended the Eid al-Adha greeting program organized in Rize. At the greeting ceremony held at 15 July Democracy and Republic Square, Bak was accompanied by AK Party Deputy Chairman Hayati Yazıcı, Rize Governor İhsan Selim Baydaş, Rize Mayor Rahmi Metin, and Rize deputies and protocol members.
''WE WISH THEM SUCCESS''
Speaking after the greeting program, Minister Osman Aşkın Bak recalled the journey of the National Football Team to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, saying, "It has been a productive year, especially in terms of sports organizations. As you know, our national team will go to the World Cup. I want to send a message from here. Our national team is currently in camp in Riva. We wish them success. We wish success to Our Boys at the World Cup, which we join after 24 years. They are in camp, working. On June 1, there is a friendly match with North Macedonia at Fenerbahçe Stadium. Then they go to America, where they will play a friendly match with Venezuela. Then our first match is with Canada in Vancouver. We wish them success."
''NOTHING SHOULD REMAIN CLOSED IN OUR COUNTRY''
Responding to a question regarding the attack on the Fenerbahçe bus in Trabzon's Sürmene district on April 4, 2015, which was brought up again by Justice Minister Akın Gürlek, Bak said, "As you know, the process is being followed, our minister is following it. Hopefully, nothing should remain closed in our country; let it be disclosed, investigated. Hopefully, they will do their part."
