AK Party Ankara Deputy Osman Gökçek claimed during a press conference held with a coffin at the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) that irregularities occurred in the procurement of body bags and shroud sets by the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality in 2023.
COULDN'T DEFEND HIS FATHER
Osman Gökçek, who raised allegations of irregularities regarding the tender conducted by the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, was asked about the dinosaurs of Ankapark, which were built during his father's term and turned into scrap without ever being used. Gökçek responded to this question, saying, "I am not the subject of the issue."
WHAT HAPPENED?
It was revealed that the company that sold the dinosaurs, which were paid 98.4 million in 2013 and could not be operated after 7 months of opening Ankapark, built by former Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Melih Gökçek, is now selling the same dinosaurs for one-third of the price at 31.8 million TL.
