Ufuk Bayraktar, known for his role in the series "Ezel," was detained on the allegation of extorting money from a restaurant in Beyoğlu. The actor was brought to court on charges of "robbery" and was released under judicial control. Denying the allegations, Bayraktar defended himself by stating, "I have never taken anything from anyone that I did not deserve."
'Ezel' series' young Ramiz Dayı, who became memorable by portraying the character, was detained last month due to an incident that occurred in Beyoğlu. Allegedly, Bayraktar told the restaurant owner, "They will take over here, we will protect you. For this, you will give us 25 thousand lira weekly," while at a restaurant with his friends. It was later claimed that when the actor returned to the same place, he reduced the amount he requested to 10 thousand lira.
Bayraktar, who was detained by the police, was referred to the courthouse after his procedures at the police station. The actor, who was brought before the peace criminal court on charges of "robbery with multiple people," was released under judicial control. The court imposed a travel ban and a regular signature obligation on Bayraktar.

The actor stated, "The argument that occurred between me and the owner of the place next to my workplace yesterday afternoon has been reported to the police station. It is completely wrong to try to link this incident to other issues and to elevate its news value.
The place where it is claimed that I demanded extortion is a venue that has been my neighbor for 7-8 years, located 30 meters ahead of my tea garden, which I own. Additionally, the owners of the place are friends of our family elders and are respected elders of ours.
A friendly conversation that took place between me and the operator of the venue in recent months has been distorted by the media.
