Our National Team, who lost 2-1 to the Netherlands, bid farewell to EURO 2024.

The Turkish National Team shared the stage with the Netherlands in the quarter-finals of the 2024 European Football Championship. Despite taking a 1-0 lead in the match played at the Berlin Olympic Stadium, the Crescent-Stars were defeated 2-1 and bid farewell to the tournament.

SAMET PUT US AHEAD

The first goal of the match came in the 35th minute. Samet Akaydin, with a clean header in the penalty area from Arda Güler's cross, sent the ball into the net and put our team ahead 1-0.

NETHERLANDS TURNED THE MATCH AROUND

Holland equalized in the 70th minute with Stefan de Vrij and then found another goal in the 76th minute with Cody Gakpo, turning the score from 1-0 behind to 2-1 ahead against the Turkish National Team. With no more goals in the remaining minutes, Holland advanced to the semi-finals. The Turkish team's EURO 2024 journey came to an end.

ENGLAND IS THE OPPONENT

Holland, who defeated the Turkish National Team 2-1 after being 1-0 behind in the match, became the opponent of England, who eliminated Switzerland in penalties, in the semi-finals. The semi-final match will be played on July 10th in Dortmund. The excitement of the final in the European Championship will be experienced on July 14th.
