Özgür Özel, who was removed from the CHP Chairmanship by the decision of the Ankara Regional Court of Justice, is putting into action his words "From now on, we will be in squares and streets," spoken as he left the party headquarters. The first stop of Özel's eagerly awaited new roadmap has been determined. The CHP İzmir Provincial Directorate announced that Özel will hold the first rally of the new term tomorrow at 12:00 PM in İzmir Cumhuriyet Square. Özel will then proceed to Manisa.
Following the 'Absolute Nullity' decision of the Ankara Regional Court of Justice regarding CHP's 38th Ordinary Congress, the political waters are not calming down. Özgür Özel, who was removed from the position of General President and reacted to the forced police evacuation of the CHP Headquarters, is making the first move of the new era.
FIRST STOP: İZMİR
Özel, who said "From now on, we will be in squares and streets" while leaving the Headquarters, has revealed his new roadmap. Özel decided to hold his first rally in Izmir. The rally will take place on Tuesday, May 26 (tomorrow) at Izmir Cumhuriyet Square.
After the rally in Izmir, Özgür Özel will travel to his hometown Manisa to spend the holiday and will also hold a rally there.
A DARK STAIN ON DEMOCRACY HISTORY
CHP Izmir Provincial Chairman Çağatay Güç invited all citizens and evaluated the forced police evacuation of the party headquarters. Güç stated:
"Yesterday, unfortunately, was a day that went down in Turkey's democracy history as a dark stain. In the future, this period will be remembered as a section where a very serious picture emerged. But as Republicans, we see today as a milestone."
