In the Şahinbey district, 4 unidentified suspects came to a high school and fired shots one after another with a blank pistol at a student they called out from the schoolyard. While no one died or was injured in the incident, a brief panic occurred in the vicinity.

CALLED OUTSIDE AND FIRED REPEATEDLY
The incident occurred at Mimar Sinan Anatolian High School in Şahinbey district around noon. According to the claim, during class hours, 4 suspects aged 15-16 approached the school garden wall and asked some names to the students inside. Then, a dispute broke out between the suspects, who called the student named M.M.A. outside the school, and the student. As the dispute that occurred outside the school escalated, one of the suspects fired 5 shots at M.M.A. with the blank pistol he had with him.

While there were no deaths or injuries in the incident, a short-term panic occurred in the surroundings. Upon the notification of the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center by those around, police teams were dispatched to the scene. The police teams arriving at the scene took extensive security measures at the location. After the incident, police teams initiated work to capture the suspects. As a result of the efforts, one of the suspects was caught, while search operations for the other 3 continue.
SECURITY TEAMS INCREASED INSPECTIONS
Following the incident, it was reported that in Gaziantep, security forces have increased inspections in schools against similar incidents that have occurred in recent days and continue their work to ensure the safety of students.
