In his post-election statement, referring to relations with Turkey, Pashinyan stated that the two countries have achieved a "very good dynamic" and emphasized the need to open borders and establish diplomatic relations. He called for taking final steps in the normalization process.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who declared victory in the parliamentary elections held in Armenia, made striking statements regarding the normalization process with Turkey.

Speaking at a press conference where he evaluated the election results, Pashinyan also conveyed a message to the Turkish people in response to a question from Anadolu Agency. Emphasizing regional peace and cooperation, Pashinyan stated that they have achieved a positive atmosphere with Turkey recently.

"WE NEED TO MAKE THE FINAL MOVE"

Referring to the normalization process between Turkey and Armenia, Pashinyan said, "We have captured a very good dynamic with Turkey. We need to maintain this dynamic to make the final move."

Pashinyan noted that opening the borders between the two countries and formally establishing diplomatic relations would be an important step for the region.

PLEASED WITH THE RAILWAY DECISION

Pashinyan also evaluated the decision to open the Akhalkalaki-Kars railway line, which will be used for the export and import of Armenian goods, expressing his satisfaction with this development.

Pashinyan stated that strengthening regional transportation and trade networks would create new opportunities for both Armenia and neighboring countries, and emphasized that economic cooperation would contribute to the peace process.

EMPHASIS ON PEACE WITH AZERBAIJAN

Pashinyan also stressed the need to sign a peace agreement with Azerbaijan, stating that opening transportation corridors in the region would change the future of the South Caucasus.

According to unofficial results in the Armenian press, the Civil Contract Party, led by Pashinyan, comfortably completed the parliamentary elections with a significant lead.
