Perinaz Shiri, the Iranian contestant known from the competition "Kısmetse Olur", responded to criticisms on Haberler.com regarding her dance video, which resurfaced during the war in Iran. Shiri stated that the video was filmed months before the war began, and reacting to the comments made about her, she said, "I would never come and dance like that while there is a war."

Iranian contestant Perinaz Shiri, who appeared on the show "Kısmetse Olur" and was hosted by presenter Melis Yaşar on Haberler.com, clarified the criticism she received over a dance video that was reshared on social media after the war in Iran. Stating that the footage was shot before the war began, Shiri said the video was presented as if it were current during the war. Shiri, who expressed that she was psychologically very distressed because she could not hear from her family during that period, recounted that she even considered leaving the competition.

“I WOULD NEVER COME AND DANCE LIKE THAT WHILE THERE IS A WAR”

Speaking about the dance video that trended on social media, Perinaz Shiri stated that the footage was not new, saying, “That dance was actually something that aired in the 5th or 6th episode on our stage. And on top of that, we… I think we shot those in July. Then we had a three-and-a-half-month break. Then we started airing.” Shiri said the video was recirculated during the war period, adding, “I saw that there was a war in Iran and stuff. They are resharing these things. As if I had done this recently.”

Stating that she was disturbed by the comments, Shiri said, “But if someone is really watching, they would know that this was something I did before, I mean, there was no war at that time.” The contestant, who noted that people judge very quickly on social media, said, “They even attack people for having eyebrows above their eyes.”

“I COULDN'T HEAR FROM MY FAMILY, MY PSYCHE WAS IN SHAMBLES”

Perinaz Shiri, who explained that the war process in Iran affected her psychologically, said she even considered leaving the competition. Shiri stated, “I would never come and dance like that while there is a war. In fact, before I entered the third part, it was exactly the time of the war. I couldn't hear from my family. It was a very difficult period. Really for me. My psyche was really in shambles.”

Shiri, who said she spoke with the production team about whether to continue in the competition, described her dilemma with these words: “I said, shouldn't I continue? I mean, there is a war. I said, how can I go there now and dance as if nothing happened?”

“MY IRANIAN SUPPORTERS WANTED ME TO CONTINUE”

Shiri, who said that her greatest support during the process came from her Iranian followers living abroad, said, “I received many messages, especially from supporters in Iran, from Iranians living abroad, telling me to continue, to continue strongly, don't make trouble or anything. So I continued with the strength they gave me.”
