Pervin Buldan: As the Democratic Republic Movement, we will build a new movement.

Speaking at the 5th Ordinary Congress of her party with notable statements, TBMM Deputy Speaker and DEM Party Van Deputy Pervin Buldan stated that DEM Party will hold another congress in a few months, saying, 'We are entering a new construction period. Together with the peoples of Turkey, we will wage a great struggle to make peace permanent in this construction period. In a few months, with another congress, we will actually build a new movement as the Democratic Republic Movement.'

The 5th Ordinary Congress of the DEM Party was held at the Nazım Hikmet Cultural Center in Ankara. At the congress, Tuncer Bakırhan and Tülay Hatimoğulları were re-elected as Co-Chairs, receiving all of the 535 valid votes.

"WE ARE ENTERING A NEW CONSTRUCTION PERIOD AS A PARTY"

TBMM Deputy Speaker and DEM Party Van Deputy Pervin Buldan said in her statement at the congress, "Let us say good luck. We are entering a new construction period as a party. Together with the peoples of Turkey, we will wage a great struggle to make peace permanent during this construction period."

Buldan, stating that Turkey needs social peace, said, "At least after today's congress, the messages given by our co-chairs are clear, but of course I can add this. Turkey needs peace. It needs social peace, and steps have already been taken for this. There are new stages ahead of us."

Buldan, noting that the new stages should proceed without crises and smoothly, said, "We need to build these new stages together as a peace process that is crisis-free, smooth, and worthy of society. Our new party will begin climbing these steps as of today."

Buldan, stating that another congress will be held within a few months, said, "Probably in a few months, with another congress, we will actually build a new movement as the Democratic Republic Movement. Today, the first message of this was given and the step was taken."

Buldan said, "I wish good luck to all of us. I hope it will be beneficial for the peoples of Turkey."
