According to the latest information obtained from security sources, the terrorist organization PKK/KCK has completely vacated 4 main shelter areas in the Metina region in northern Iraq.
4 STRATEGIC CAVES ABANDONED
It was learned that, as a result of operational pressure across the border and the process carried out, the organization abandoned the critical caves named Hebat, Yajk, Sabri and Sason in the Baze area of the Metina zone as of October 8, 2026.
