Disciplinary referrals have been announced regarding the incidents that occurred after the derby in which Galatasaray defeated Fenerbahçe 2-1. A total of 4 people from the two teams have been referred to the Professional Football Disciplinary Board (PFDK), while Abdülkerim Bardakcı and Archie Brown face the possibility of receiving a suspension of between 5 and 10 matches.
In the 9th week of the Trendyol Super League, Galatasaray faced Fenerbahçe. After the match, which ended with the yellow-reds leading 2-1, a fight broke out between the players of the two teams.
Following the incidents, the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) announced the disciplinary referrals regarding the derby. Along with Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe clubs, a total of 4 names from the two teams were referred to the PFDK.
2 NAMES REFERRED FROM GALATASARAY
At Galatasaray, Abdülkerim Bardakcı was referred to the PFDK on a provisional basis starting from October 27, 2026, due to his 'attack' in the derby, under Article 44 of the Football Disciplinary Regulations.
Serhat Doğan, an official of the yellow-red club, was also sent to the disciplinary board on a provisional basis on the grounds of 'attack' and 'acting contrary to the regulations'.
Galatasaray Club was referred to the PFDK due to ugly and bad chants, field incidents, and actions contrary to the regulations.
2 NAMES SENT TO PFDK FROM FENERBAHÇE
At Fenerbahçe, Archie Brown was referred to the PFDK on a provisional basis starting from October 27, 2026, due to his 'attack' in the derby, within the scope of Article 44 of the Football Disciplinary Regulations.
Ahmet Aytar, an official of the yellow-navy club, was sent to the disciplinary board without a provisional measure on the grounds of 'acting contrary to the regulations'.
Fenerbahçe Club was also referred to the PFDK due to ugly and bad chants, field incidents, unsportsmanlike conduct as a team, and actions contrary to the regulations.
TWO FOOTBALLERS MAY FACE BANS OF 5 TO 10 MATCHES
The most notable development after the derby was that Abdülkerim Bardakcı and Archie Brown were referred to the disciplinary board on the grounds of 'attack'.
Under Article 44 of the Football Disciplinary Regulations, both footballers may face a suspension of between 5 and 10 matches. The penalties to be given to the players will become clear as a result of the PFDK's assessment.
