The statement from the Presidency included the following:
"Our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, held a telephone conversation with Brazilian President Lula da Silva.
The leaders discussed Türkiye-Brazil bilateral relations as well as regional and global developments.
During the call, President Erdoğan stated that it was gratifying that the relations between the two countries, whose foundations were laid at an advanced level 20 years ago, continue to develop day by day, and that deepening our cooperation in every field, especially in investment, trade, and the defense industry, would benefit our countries.
Our President expressed his belief that we can implement an economic cooperation model that will increase the welfare of the peoples of the two countries against protectionist tendencies.
President Erdoğan also stated that Türkiye and Brazil's policies, which prioritize peace on regional and global issues, contribute to world peace."
