The meeting between President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte at the Presidential Complex has begun. Prior to this meeting, during his visit to Aselsan, the NATO Secretary General stated, "Turkey has experienced a defense industry revolution. We can learn a lot from what Turkey has done."
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and his accompanying delegation had come to Turkey to conduct diplomatic contacts. Rutte, who held meetings with National Defense Minister Yaşar Güler and Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in Ankara, proceeded to Beştepe to meet with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
NATO Secretary General Rutte was received by President Erdoğan at the Presidential Complex.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte continued his contacts in Ankara by visiting Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. No statement was made regarding the details of their meeting.
RUTTE ALSO MET WITH NATIONAL DEFENSE MINISTER GÜLER
As part of his official visit to Turkey, NATO Secretary General Rutte had also met with National Defense Minister Yaşar Güler on April 21.
It was reported that important topics regarding strengthening alliance relations were discussed during the meeting. In its statement regarding the meeting, the Ministry of National Defense said, "Satisfaction was expressed over our country's approach of its 2027 defense expenditures towards NATO's Hague targets, and NATO Multinational Corps studies were discussed."
