The first meeting regarding the minimum wage increase, which concerns millions of people, will be held tomorrow. Speaking at the 29th Ordinary General Assembly of TİSK before the meeting, President Erdoğan called on employers to take action regarding the minimum wage, stating, "I expect them to put their hands under the stone. This step will yield returns. There is no pocket in the shroud."
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in a statement at the 29th Ordinary General Assembly of TİSK in Ankara, called on employers to consider the minimum wage.
Erdoğan said, "As the world changes and globalization continues at full speed, it is crucial for our businesses and employers to adapt to this new reality."
Erdoğan stated, "For three terms, the TİSK family has shown that it stands by the state and the nation in the fight against challenges that threaten our prosperity and stability. Unlike some groups that engage in political engineering with instructions received from abroad, TİSK has displayed a local and national stance at critical junctures."
"THE EMPLOYER-EMPLOYEE RELATIONSHIP MUST BE FAIR"
President Erdoğan emphasized that it is essential for them that the relationship between employees and employers is fair, stating, "When this relationship is not established on a healthy foundation, the path to exploitation and injustice will open before us. The relationships between employees and employers are based on rights and justice. A system where no one is victimized is our priority."
"TİSK MUST STEP UP"
Recalling that the Minimum Wage Determination Commission will hold its first meeting tomorrow, Erdoğan said, "I expect the TİSK delegation representing employers in the commission to step up. I always say, there is no pocket in the shroud. Every positive step you take towards our worker brothers will return as productivity gains and abundance. I always say, there is no pocket in the shroud. Whether we are politicians or employers, if we can leave behind a legacy that is remembered with good, that is true wealth and the source of happiness. In such a matter that concerns human life, do not leave anything to chance. I express once again today that I expect all our employers to pay special attention and sensitivity to prevent workplace accidents. I believe that TİSK will also be a pioneer and an example in this regard."
